Captain Morgan here from the bridge again.Travel dates set: Depart from Saint Louis 9:35 am. December 6th. Arrive in Beijing. Take flight to Xi'an. Sleep. Rest. Recover. Eat exotic food. Attempt to sleep again. Welcome Cory to the family, Saturday, December 9th. Adoption documents completed the 10th.
Presently: Packing suitcases. Making lists. Checking them twice. Scrambling to finish last minute details before the trip. Trying to find meds, munchies, and milk chocolate (chocolate has energy. We need energy). Oliver is beginning male bonding time with his pet, Matt. Preparing warmer clothes for abnormal temperatures. During the trip, we will visit Xi'an, Beijing, and Guangzhou-temperatures may vary as drastically as 30 degrees between locations. Above is my little brother, who already has decided to follow after his sister and work on improving his blogging skills! Finally, we are anxiously awaiting Departure Day: D-Day! Looking forward to keeping y'all posted. We will read all posted comments, I can't guarantee individual responses.

We were so excited to have met sweet little Merriella and to get a chance to (way too briefly) catch up with the rest of the family! You will be in our prayers as you embark on this adventure! Glad to see you all made it to China! When I first saw the delay, I was'nt sure if you would
make the connection in Chicago.
Morgan, will you please let Mom know that I am switching cars with
her this weekend. I will leave my
Accord for her at Susan's and borrow her Pilot. I need the extra
space for transporting Wedding Cakes from Spiro to Stillwater on the 21st. Susan and I did'nt think
she would mind. She and Kathryn can drive my car to Stillwater on the 20th.
Oh and tell your father that if he can move his family and Mom from St
Louis to Beijing, I think he can orchestrate a small Mongol Invasion for Jonah!!
